Joer & JobelJoer and Jobel were a little ahead of the curve when it comes to online dating. Before Facebook, eHarmony, and Match.com they found each other on an online chat. At that time you had to be online at the same time in order to find the other person's profile. Amazingly one night they found each other and struck up a conversation.
Eventually they exchanged phone number and began to talk regularly. Eight months later they decided to meet up for the first time after placing a wager on a college basketball game. If Georgia beat Florida during the game, then Jobel would pay for Joer's meal. But Joer remained a gentleman even after Georgia's win and paid for Jobel's meal anyway.
But their road to wedlock wasn't as simple as that. Jobel moved back to Florida for a period of time, and Joer remained in Atlanta. Her plan was to make her way west to California to pursue her graphic design career, but Joer convinced her to stop off in Atlanta for a bit and hopefully convince her to stay.
