Lauren moved in to Dennis' neighborhood, and the initial worries that come with a new neighbor were ever present in Dennis' mind. Will she have an annoying dog, late night parties, or a car with a busted muffler? But Dennis' fears all subsided when we finally met Lauren at a neighborhood meeting he had organized. The evolution from neighbor to friend to fiancee was a timid transformation. There were fears that if a relationship failed to take an awkward neighbor relationship would develop. But it was clear to them both at the end of an impromptu date to a Salvador Dali exhibit at The High Museum of Art, that those worries were unfounded. The began walking their separate ways and then Dennis turned and walked through the Dwarf Gardenias between their homes to give Lauren a hug. Once in his house, Dennis had remembered the title of a Michael Jackson song that they were discussing in the car. He texted it to Lauren, who was shocked, and overjoyed to receive a text from Dennis that said "I want to be where you are". It was the simple misunderstanding that actual lead them to be honest with themselves about how they felt for each other.
