Vinny & MiaSeven hours into a video game marathon, it was evident to Vinny that he had never met anyone more stubborn than himself until that moment. Mia and Vinny were both CS majors at Georgia Tech when they found themselves entrenched in a do or die video game battle. Mia refused to give in, and so the two continued to play for hours on end.
Ironically it was their mutual unwillingness to relent that lead to a friendship, and eventually their marriage. As Mia commented that it is Vinny's desire to make a difference in the world that she admires, and that desire comes directly from his "stick-to-it-ness". Likewise, Vinny's admiration of Mia is directed at her dilligence in helping other people.
But their relationship goes beyond their perseverance, it's about play and laughter. An almost ironic tip of the hat to their first meeting which happened while playing a game.
